White Waters

Welcome to the Shire of the White Waters

Leave the mundane world behind and join the SCA. We are the Shire of the White Waters, the local group of the SCA, which stands for Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc.

What is the SCA you might ask? Quoted from the SCA.org website:

“The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our “Known World” consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes & workshops, and more.”

The Shire of the White Waters is part of The Midrealm, which is the third oldest kingdom in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Properly known as the Middle Kingdom, it consists of Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, part of Kentucky, a nip of Iowa, and a bit of Ontario. Our Shire covers the territory of St. Joseph, Elkhart, LaGrange, and Marshall Counties in Indiana.
